The definition of
chaos is complete disorder and confusion.
Doesn’t life feel like that sometimes?
Life happens with and without our permission and at times feels like
chaos. Life brings moments of joy, sadness,
excitement, heartache and various other emotions.
Life is like a journey.
Based on choices we make, our life or journey, can go in several
directions. Some may find their journey
to be hard, boring or exciting, but no two journeys are the same. Often we look at our journey and wonder how
we got where we are at because the journey we planned vs the journey we are
living are vastly different.
The chaos of our journey may be self-inflicted. By this I mean, we aren’t focused, we are
over committed, and/or we are struggling to find our purpose. Chaos brings noise and frustration. How can we function in this state of
mind? How do we find our way out of the
chaos? I have found the best way to
quiet the chaos is to get focused on something bigger than me. Something that is smarter and saw the entire journey
before I was created.
Standing strong in my faith has quieted the chaos. We dont always have control over the things
that happen in our life and we can spend hours, days, and even years trying to
make sense out of the things that happen to us.
If we spend our life living in chaos and noise, searching for answers
that cant be found and not resting the peace and quiet of our savior, we will miss
the peace and joy that comes from a personal relationship with God.
When you feel the chaos consume you, I pray that you take
the time to seek God and allow Him to give you the peace and direction you
desire. But don’t why wait for the
chaos. Seek Him now and avoid the
chaos.
